About the Toy Fox Terrier

Toy Fox Terrier owners will tell you there is nothing quite like living with a dog that is simultaneously a fearless working terrier and a devoted lap companion. This breed was built in America from Smooth Fox Terriers, Chihuahuas, and Italian Greyhounds, and that combination produced something genuinely unique in the toy world. These dogs still carry the full hunting instinct of their terrier ancestors, still notice every movement, still want a job to do, and will absolutely catch a mouse if given the chance. They can jump five times their own height and have the boldness of a dog ten times their size. Yet they also curl up happily with their people and thrive in apartment life when given enough activity and mental engagement. Breed enthusiasts have long called them 'truly a toy and a terrier,' and that phrase earns its keep every single day. Owners who love this breed tend to love it deeply, because you are getting an athlete, a comedian, and a loyal companion all wrapped up in a tiny, short-coated package. This store is happy to celebrate that.
