About the Field Spaniel

Field Spaniels are one of those breeds that quietly gets under your skin. They are rare enough that most people have never seen one in person, yet those who know them are fiercely devoted. Originally bred as all-black show dogs in the late 1800s, they fell out of favor and were later rebuilt into capable field hunters with longer legs and genuine working ability. That history left them with a personality that sits somewhere between eager field partner and devoted family companion. They are smart, sensitive, and surprisingly funny dogs with a warmth that owners consistently describe as almost human. They need real exercise and a family that takes them seriously, but they reward that commitment fully. Classified as a Vulnerable Native Breed in the UK, Field Spaniels are genuinely rare, and the people who love them know they have found something special. This collection is for those people, a way to celebrate a breed that absolutely deserves more recognition.
