About the Dogue de Bordeaux

The Dogue de Bordeaux is one of France's oldest breeds, a dog that carries centuries of history in that impossibly massive head and moves through the world with the calm confidence of something that knows exactly what it is. These are not dogs for everyone. They drool, they snore, they have opinions, and they will absolutely test a handler who hasn't done their homework. But for the people who are drawn to them, there is nothing else quite like it. Owners describe a loyalty that feels almost primal, a dog that is genuinely devoted to its family and takes its role as guardian seriously without being aggressive or anxious. Despite their size and serious expression, they tend to be surprisingly gentle with children and have a surprisingly expressive communication style. The breed nearly vanished after World War II, and the fact that dedicated breeders fought to bring it back says everything about how special this dog is to the people who truly know it. This collection is for everyone who has fallen hard for the Bordeaux and wants to celebrate that bond.
