A little Latin wit meets genuine Pekingese devotion on this vintage-style crewneck. Our original Pekingese illustration is paired with a clever turn of phrase that fellow enthusiasts will catch and appreciate.
Why Pekingese Enthusiasts Reach for This Crewneck
Understated wit for the Pekingese devotee who appreciates a clever reference as much as a loyal companion. A refined nod to both.
About the Pekingese
The Pekingese carries centuries of imperial history in every unhurried step. These dogs were bred exclusively for Chinese royalty, so prized that stealing one was punishable by death. That history shows up in how they carry themselves today: with calm dignity, an independent streak, and a quiet confidence that can read as aloofness until they decide you have earned their affection. Pekingese owners know the difference. They understand that a Peke choosing your lap is a genuine honor. This is a breed built for closeness, not chaos, which makes them ideal for quieter households, apartment living, and anyone who wants a devoted companion without the demands of a high-energy dog. Their long coats require real grooming commitment, and their flat faces need extra attention in the heat, but for the people who love them, it is simply part of the relationship. Pekingese people tend to be devoted, knowledgeable, and genuinely proud of the breed. This collection is built to celebrate that.
What Sets This Design Apart
Every piece in our Vintage Animal Sketch collection begins as an original hand-illustration — never stock art or AI clip art. The Pekingese design renders the breed’s distinctive features in the tradition of antique naturalist plates, the kind of detail that earns a second look from strangers and a knowing nod from fellow Pekingese owners.

Common Questions
How does the Comfort Colors 1566 fit?
It runs true to size with a relaxed, roomy cut and a heavier, cozier feel than a standard crewneck. If you prefer a fitted look, size down; for an oversized layer, size up.
Will the print hold up?
Yes. The design is printed directly into the fabric, so it stays soft to the touch and resists cracking or peeling through repeated washes — no stiff plastic feel.
What makes this different from other Pekingese sweatshirts?
Every design is an original vintage-style illustration drawn for the breed — not clip art or a generic silhouette — on a premium garment-dyed blank rather than a basic fleece.
